At Canal Town Community Church is not about religion. It's about a relationship with Jesus. It’s not about rules. It’s not about money. It is about letting our community, friends, family, co-workers and all we come in contact with see God’s amazing grace. That grace is revealed by how we treat others. Yes, we are serious about our Christian Faith. However, we are not the judges. We seek to reveal Christ in us and allow Christ to change lives…that is what God does. How do we operate:
We are looking forward to how God will use us now and in the future. We are expanding our Young Adults Ministry and adding an active children’s and youth ministry. As we grow we will add midweek programs based on the desires and needs of our community. Check out recent improvements below.
God is on the move at Canal Town Community Church! Although we began as a small congregation of less than 10. We now average about 30 for Sunday worship, God is bringing growth. We had seen attendance in the 40's and 50's before COVID and hope to see those numbers return. We had 50 for Easter! Along with the improvements we have been able to make to our 151 year old facility, we are adding more opportunities for fellowship and the study of God's Word. Let's keep watching what God will do!
With the current war in Israel, we are praying and watching. Expecting that God will see Israel through this, planning continues. We have modified our plans for Israel 2024 to help more people get involved. The timing has moved to October 28 - November 10 and includes an option to spend three days in Jordan. Our teacher and guide will be Dr. Paul Wright, President Emeritus of Jerusalem University College. Dr. Wright lived and taught in Israel for over 20 years. He is a gifted teacher and our time with him will give each a greater understanding of the Scriptures and the land and people of the Bible.
