Chris Kelley has served Canal Town Community Church since December 2018. For 25 years prior, Chris was the Vice President and General Manager of a small company that manufactures analytical instruments and traveled extensively around the world. Chris has traveled to over sixty-five countries in Europe, South America, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. This served not only business goals but has also opened opportunities to share the Gospel both one-on-one and with larger audiences. At the same time Chris supported pulpits at numerous churches in Western New York and the surrounding region. Chris has supported bible conferences and retreats at churches and Christian organizations and teaches both the Old and New Testament Live Events originally developed by Bruce Wilkerson (Walk the Bible Ministries).
Chris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Organization Management from Roberts Wesleyan College and a Master of Divinity from Northeastern Seminary. He studied at Jerusalem University College in Israel on several occasions. In 2009 Chris spent four weeks in Israel studying the “Historical and Geographical Settings of the Bible.” In 2004 Chris taught a multi-day retreat and served as the keynote speaker for the graduation ceremonies of the Banjul Bible Center along with preaching at some area churches in the Gambia, West Africa. He returned again in 2006 and 2008 organizing medical and work missions. During 2017 and 2018 Chris provided teaching and preaching ministries in Ghana, Nigeria, the Philippines and Brazil.
Chris has been married to his wife, Sue, for 48 years and has four adult "children," and eleven grandchildren.
